Seminar za diferencijalne jednadžbe i numeričku analizu
U ponedjeljak, 20.5.2013. s početkom u 12 sati u predavaonici 109
Martin Tautenhahn (TU Chemnitz)
održat će predavanje pod naslovom
Application of Carleman estimates to unique continuation principles.
Abstract: The topic of the talk is located in unique continuation
principles, roughly speaking, if the solution of an elliptic equation
vanishes in a small ball (or of infinite order at one single point),
then it vanishes everywhere.
In the first part of the talk we review the history of unique
continuation principles and the role played by Carleman estimates.
Then we discuss recent results on so-called quantitative unique
continuation properties (qucp) for Schrodinger operators and their
application to random Schrodinger operators. The last part of the talk
is devoted to an ongoing work with Denis Borisov and Ivan Veselic
concerning generalizations of the qucp from Schrodinger operators to
second order elliptic differential operators.
Pozvani su svi članovi seminara te svi zainteresirani.
